Coles has announced the launch of its latest collectable program – a seven-piece set of chef-quality cookware – in a bid to help customers get more value from their shop.

According to a recent cost of living survey conducted by the supermarket giant, 50 per cent of Aussies are now choosing to cook more at home due to household budget pressures.

From March 22, customers can earn cookware credits to redeem on the free stainless-steel pots and pans by scanning their Flybuys when they spend $20 or more in one transaction at Coles and Coles Online.

To help kickstart the collection by the time it officially lands in stores, Coles is offering Flybuys members who have participated in previous loyalty campaigns a two-week head start on collecting credits from tomorrow, March 8.

“Many Australians are doing it tough and splurging on quality cookware is not a priority for them right now,” Coles Executive General Manager for Non-Food, Jonathan Torr, said.

“We have an opportunity to provide great value in more ways than just savings at the checkout, which is why we’re rewarding our customers with quality cookware to inspire their love and creativity of cooking with sought after kitchen items that are built to last.”

The versatile range includes non-stick frying pans in varied sizes, a heavy-duty roaster with rack, casserole pan with a glass lid and utensil set featuring a spoon and turner.

All of the items are non-reactive with foods; the pots and pans are suitable for both the oven and stovetops (including induction), and are dishwasher safe.

Mr Torr said Coles “continue to see increased participation and satisfaction each time we run these campaigns”.

“The MasterChef collection is a premium range, but we’ve made it even easier for customers to collect the full range by offering bonus credits on over 1400 everyday supermarket items,” he added.

“Savvy shoppers can take advantage of this opportunity to fast track their collection by keeping an eye on the products which offer bonus credits and include them in their shop.”

The popular “half credits, half pay” method also gives customers the option to use half the credits required and pay the remaining cost of the item.

Coles Chef Ambassador Courtney Roulston – a former MasterChef contestant herself – said the collection of kitchen essentials is “perfect for those who are seasoned in the kitchen or who are just starting their culinary journey”.

“I have loved using both the stainless steel and non-stick pots and pans. It’s brought me right back to my time in the MasterChef kitchen and has inspired some delicious, easy, family-friendly dishes,” she said.

For customers unable to visit a store or who prefer to shop online, they can also redeem their cookware credits while doing their grocery shop – meaning the cookware can be delivered directly to their home or to the boot of their car through Click&Collect.
